Brewercare causes second death

Posted: January 5, 2011 in Disgusted in AZ, Gov. Jan Brewer, Healthcare

It’s happened again.  A second person has died as a result of the Medicaid cuts that went into effect as of Oct. 1, 2010.  The first unfortunate person died on Nov. 28 and the second died on Dec. 28–both were waiting for organ transplants that the State of Arizona was supposed to cover.  Gov. Jan Brewer and her fellow lackeys….state legislators….decided that those kind of organ transplants were “optional” and funding for them could be struck from the budget.

Meanwhile Gov.  Brewer is plenty of time and resources on traveling to Washington to testify in court about idiotic laws like SB1070, on advocating for and building a new Centennial Museum that is completely unnecessary to celebrate 100 years of statehood, on special favors for her advisors and corporate shills for the privatization of the prison industry, and so much more.  This is what conservatism and the free market approach brings about.

I don’t see anything to celebrate.  Indeed we should all hang our heads in shame.
