  • Sen. Kyl and fellow Republicans are still standing in the way of Congressional approval of the START Treat and Russia is not happy about it. Russia warned our Senate not to mess with the Treaty language because they felt it was perfectly balanced and the negotiations were final.
  • The State Attorney General, Terry Goddard (D), filed suit against Bank of America. The Bank has been telling homeowners that they wouldn’t forclose on their homes while undergoing mortgage modifications and then forclosed on the homes anyway.
  • I haz a sad because the Cardinals lost to the Carolina Panthers, who before yesterdays game had the worst record in the league. One could argue that the Cardinals are now the worst team in the league.
  • After several days of record breaking high days, the Phoenix area is finally experiencing some cloudy and rainy weather.
  • Sen. McCain continued to fight the repeal of DADT down to the wire. It passed the Senate this past Saturday in spite of him.
  • The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors patched up things with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, announcing that the Attorney’s Office can once again represent the count in civil cases. This duty was taken away from the Office last year during a political and legal battle between the Board and the former County Attorney Andrew Thomas.
  • Republicans won all 8 seatsin the 2010 statewide election contests. They have a 2/3 majority in both houses of the State Legislature. The new leaderof the State Senate is Russell Pearce, a “Tea Party” type conservative.
